Featured Artist - Sue Grilli
Sue Grilli is a Multi Medium artist that began her studies as an Art Education major in college.After raising three children and moving from her native New York State, Sue now resides in the low country of South Carolina, where she is enjoying the new landscape the area provides.
‘Inspired by nature and the landscape, whether that is land, sea or city, I have been working to express the view in my surroundings. I have found that looking at the landscape and abstracting that view, there becomes little stories imbedded in the paint. I strive for viewers to seek their own story within the colors and shapes.’
After studying with recognized artists and at the Atlanta College of Art, Sue became increasingly dedicated to her painting.Now, in her home studio, she explores her visions of nature. She is an award winning artist with her works being selected in juried shows and displayed in local galleries in addition to being published in North Light Books, “Incite 4, the Best of Mixed Media”. She has carried her easel from Atlanta to Australia painting on location with a style of loose, flowing colors as she captures the combination of light and vibrancy.
Sue is a member of several art organizations and is involved in the local art community . You can find her work at La Petite Gallerie in Old Town Bluffton.
She plans to continue producing colorful designs that appeal to the eye and the visions of the soul.
