As far back as I can remember I always appreciated watercolor art. My vacations and travels allowed me to visit many art museums and galleries. I was inspired by the works of American watercolor masters.

When I retired from teaching, I was ready to pursue watercolor painting. Under the guidance of several accomplished teachers, I was able to learn the basics and get ready to paint on my own.

My challenge when I am painting is to let my creativity flow and produce a work that is interesting yet pleasing to myself. Although I mostly paint in watercolor, I often create collages with mixed media. As an artist, this is where I feel I am using my full potential and producing some surprising results. I am an active member of the All About Art Club and having the opportunity to teach classes has been most rewarding.
