Living in the Caribbean for over forty years gave Judy a love for bright colors and tropical flowers. Trips to Tahiti and Hawaii encouraged her more. Judy has taken art classes at the University of Oregon, the College of the Virgin Islands on St. Thomas, classes on St. Croix and at the Jan D'Espo Gallery in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Judy painted with Heleen Cornet, well-known Caribbean watercolorist, for over ten years on the Dutch island of Saba.

She's had two one-woman shows at Breadfuit Gallery on Saba and now sells her work at the Five Square Gallery on Saba and has exhibited in galleries on the islands of St. Eustatius, Curacao and the Dominican Republic. Judy was in the Sun City All About Art Club studio the day after she and her husband Hal Meeks and their cat arrived in Sun City in 2000.

She enjoyed serving as the club secretary for over eleven years and she is now The Sunshine Lady. It"s been delightful for her to see the new generation of All About Art members' enthusiasm and in their developing new ideas and activities.
